I initially saw this book at my Veterinarian's office in San Diego and was very impressed by it. I took down the publisher's name and address
During my last visit there with my two Keeshonden, I was disappointed to learn that it had been thrown away due to other customers' overuse/abuse?!
The Vet Techs also said that when they tried to reorder it, they learned that it had been discontinued. Utilizing my previous information, I tracked it down to Amazon and was delighted to be able to order it at a really good price.
This beautifully drawn and printed book now resides on my family room cocktail table to be enjoyed by all my guests.
Thank you Amazon.

Have you ever wondered which dogs make the best house pets? How the Dalmatian got its name? Why the German Shepherd was once referred to as the Alsatian? Illustrations of the skeletal system, the muscular system and the major internal organs are labeled with current terminology. Five different breeds from the seven major canine classes (as recognized by the American Kennel Club) are beautifully illustrated and rendered, and information on breed group, history, and social skill is also included. A complete list of all of the dogs within each canine class can be found at the back of the book.
Utilizing the newest printing technology - the stochastic tone process - these hand-illustrated drawings are nearly life-like in their detail. Printed in four colors on the highest quality paper available, this book offers images unlike any other before it
